When you first got involved in a network marketing opportunity, you get excited and will want to share your new found opportunity with everyone you know. You’ll have lots of people to talk to but over time, you are going to run out of people that you know. To prevent this from happening, you must develop to skill of talking to strangers and convert them to friends or acquaintances.
Prospecting is the most important activity that you must master and practice daily, if not you will find that very soon you have run out of people to talk to and end up like 90% of all the network marketing failures claiming that it doesn’t work.
This business works if you have consistently and effectively share your products and business to others and teach them to do the same. Prospecting is the answer, you’re acquiring new friends to you list so you’ll have people to talk to in the future.
It is important to make a list of all the prospects that you are going to share the business to. Do not prejudge any of them when you are doing this. “I don’t think he will ever buy any of my stuff”, or “He is a doctor you know, I don’t think he will be interested in this business”. You will never know and often the least likely ones will turn out to be you best bet. Just jot them down as they come along.
Call your sponsor; you might want him to help you in the first few. Remember to sit beside him when he is doing the presentation. Learn from him and be independent the soonest possible. You will be able to grow faster and your people will follow.
