Lately there has been many seminars and workshops that claim to offer secrets to how you can make money from internet marketing, whether it is from selling you own products, selling through ebay, affiliates marketing or just earning from advertisements.

These claimed secrets are nothing but open secrets know by the people in the industry. I have been to some previews about internet marketing and everyone seems to be talking about the same stuff and if that’s the case it is no longer secrets any more.

What I did was I bought 2 books, “Wordpress for dummies” and “Clear blogging” to start with and as I go along I surf the web for information and I usually visit successful blogs to learn the secrets. There is an ocean of resources on these subjects and frankly speaking, it was not difficult to set up a self hosted blog at all. For a high school drop out like me who can managed to get it done, I guess anyone could do it too.

However, while surfing the web, I came across this particular free internet marketing resource site which is all about website promotion. You can learn how to build and use SEO to rank your site on Google, Yahoo, and MSN to promote and monetize your website.

You’ll also learn about the latest monetization methods that you can use to profit from your website and how to promote your site with banner ads, affiliates, and other form of marketing. What I did was to experiment on what works and what’s not. To me focusing on building readership with regular quality post updates is more important then the money making part.
