Persistence is the sustaining power necessary to achieve success in everything we do. The basis of persistence is the power of will. Lack of persistence is the major cause of failure.

Persistence is the never, never, never give up attitude. When you say, “I will do my best”, that’s not good enough, you are giving yourself room for excuses. When you give up upon something, you can simply say, “Well, I have already done my very best. It just doesn’t work”.

A leader who is persistence will always accept the challenge and say, “I will give whatever it takes”. That leaves no room for excuses. Being persistence is important but as a leader stand point, being persistence in following through is even more important.

When you find a potential business builder and you want to build him up. You make sure that you are through with him. You don’t give up on him, he may have the idea of giving up, but you as a leader must encourage him to go on and you will be committed to him. You are going to stay by his side at all times. You’ll not give up on him so easily.

As a leader you must know that rejection, hardship, disappointment and frustrations can only make a person much stronger and better with the right encouragement and the right coaching. You must be by his side when he needs you most. He will be appreciated and follow you for a long, long time.
