Be cautious about network leaders who brag a lot about; “We have the best products” or “We have the best marketing plan” or “We are the biggest or fastest growing company”.
There is nothing wrong with the statement or with the company; it is the attitude and the intention of the distributors who are making that statement. Is it with integrity or just merely to impress you? This will reflect upon the leadership qualities of that person who is going to be your networking mentor.
Choosing your “right” network company is important but nevertheless choosing the right mentor and the right network organization is equally or maybe of higher priority for you. Remember that you are going to work with them for a lengthy period of time to achieve success together.
Ask him if he is willing to commit in helping you building your network even if you are slow or your connections are limited. Many so called network leaders are only interested to help those who have certain social status and people with lots of contacts. They want to look for self-starters.
Test his sincerity before you sign up, organize a one to one meeting and watch his enthusiasm and his comment. A true network leader will encourage you not to give up even though the turn up is however small or even if there was a no show but a so called leader will be pushy, some may be indicating to you that you are just simply wasting his time.
Walk away from these selfish leaders as they are only interested in how much money you can make for them and if you are still interested in the opportunity, look for another network leader or organization to get yourself involved in.
