The fact is that most of us may not be able to define “Heart” but we instinctively know it is critical to building solid relationships. To build a strong network you need to have good “Heart” first. Network Marketing is a business of relationships that are built upon a foundation of heart to heart.
“Heart” is simply defined as a person with good character. People will only want to learn, follow and model those who have good character. Character is important. We have always posed this very question to audiences of businessman, parents, teachers, spiritual and community leaders.
The challenge is that, it is not whether we think it is important, but defining that which we all think is important. There are certain characters that a network leader must possess. Making them yours will help you and your people to build successful network and become great network leaders. Learn from them, make them part of your life and practice them.
True network leaders instill fairness onto everybody and not being bias to any situation or whatsoever. There are those who treat their distributors especially well when they are productive and poorly whenever they are slacking in their performances. These so called leaders are only interested in the money part and they are simply making use of others. They have character flaws.
They do not show genuine interest in others and are often pushy in character. They are very authoritative and instructive in nature and usually they themselves do not walk the talk. They don’t mean what they say.
They love the limelight and become jealous when anyone down in his network is getting more popularities than him. Sometimes they may do petty things to irritate you just to bring you down. These are fake leadership. Be very aware of them and don’t let them victimize you.
If you are truly passionate in becoming a network leader, be committed to helping and developing others and you will earn the respect of your people in your organization. Leadership is not a position but rather an action. Display leadership by example and those who practice and preach them will achieve higher success than those who don’t.

Ronald nicely put. Your post reminds me of two points I would like to share. When I first started blogging I remember being told that it is an unwritten rule that a blogger adds value and freely helps others. The best blogs I read and podcasts I listen to do this exceptionally well. The second point is about leadership itself. A true leader always has in mind the welfare of his team and the completion of their purpose ahead of their own personal needs and desires. Leadership is always about sacrifice and commitment. Ultimately it is about love, loving those you lead.
